Truffles cafe is unquestionably one of the most famous cafes of Bangalore, especially for visitors. Even my friends visiting from Hyderabad or Pune have heard so much of its reputation, that they want to have a meal there to check it out while in Bangalore. The reason behind this is probably good food in relatively reasonable price.
It’s a small cafe with comforting ambiance. There isn’t a lot of seating space with respect to its popularity, but it’s not stuffy at the same time. They don’t take reservations, so there is usually a lot of waiting time. The queue outside isn’t generally affected by the fact whether it’s raining or there is a scorching heat.
When reviewing Truffles Cafe, the dish not to be missed is “All American Cheese Burger“. This burger I believe is a piece of art. There are two patties, one patty is made of veggies, which has its own taste and the other one of cottage cheese. Put together beautifully with fresh lettuce and cheese and in-house made mayo. This is my all time favorite.
Amongst its non-veg counterparts, I like All-American cheese chicken burger and peri-peri chicken burger. All American cheese chicken burger has chicken patty instead of veggies, as delicious as well. As for the peri-peri burger, I like the sauce which makes it so delectable.
I have always loved truffles burgers, especially when I can order a jumbo when too hungry, I can never finish it up though. Even pasta arrabbiata and alfredo are delicious here. But my new favorite main course here is One flew over the cuckoo’s nest. It’s probably named so because it’s “insanely” yummy. So here’s the thing… chicken cooked in caramelized bourbon sauce, the taste of which is very prominent and lasting, set over fried noodles which are set over very creamy mashed potatoes. It is presented with buttered herb rice and garlic bread. This dish is one sumptuous satisfying meal. Other main course dishes that I have loved trying are 3 pepper chicken steak and chicken stroganoff.
There are a whole lot of desserts to try, but I haven’t like the cheesecake much. On the other hand, rum balls were pretty darn good.
Overall, if you are staying in Bangalore, a customary visit to Truffles is a must. Some great burgers and steaks are must try.!
