Barbeque Nation has been a revolutionary casual dining chain in India. Introducing live grills to the restaurant table and lip-smacking starters have attracted Indian audience to its multiple outlets throughout the country. At one point in time, the answer to destination for every Corporate team lunch was unanimously Barbeque Nation. To cater the same crowd, BN has opened its 70th outlet in the county at Soul Space Arena, Mahadevpura, Bangalore. Surrounded by IT companies, this is a brilliant location.
I had the pleasure to attend the opening for this outlet with other esteemed bloggers of Bangalore, amidst celebrities inaugurating the outlet. The beauty of this restaurant is the fresh new changes in the ambience. The bright and quirky surroundings are a welcome change. The quotes on the walls, the bright orange rebranding, especially the new seating arrangement are quite refreshing. The live grills at the centre of the restaurant and starters grill prepared in an open kitchen add to the brightness of the place.
There is an extensive drinks menu providing a variety of drinks to accompany the delicious food served.
Starters are without a doubt the celebrities at Barbeque Nation joints. To add to that experience this outlet has wish grills for exotic meat, a Shawarma grill, a Kathi roll counter, and a soup counter. There is a variety of meat and exotic vegetable options available to customise as per your taste.
While starters are the main focus of visitors, there is some addition to the main course menu as well. A new biryani counter is added which serves three types of biryanis (vegetarian, chicken, mutton) with a variety of salans and raitas. Another fascinating thing for me here was the dal counter. Dal being such a simple thing, people all over the country eat in a different manner with a different Tadka. The simplicity of this fact is the description of this counter.
I will go to hell if I don’t talk about desserts for a buffet place. At the same time, because of the sweet tooth that I have, I can’t stop if I start talking about ras malai, Phirni, Jalebi Rabri and Kulfi. So keeping it short, it’s mind blowing.
