I love ordering in as much as I love going out. Obviously, I have a good time outside on a beautiful evening, in good ambience and the freshness of conversation with people. But sitting in bed, having food delivered while binge watching TV series is not bad either. After all, my house is pretty too.
Box 8 is one of the most popular cloud-kitchen in Indian Metro cities. Started from Mumbai, Box 8 is now operational in three cities. Popular for its homely all in one meal boxes, Box 8 is becoming very popular rapidly.
One fine Sunday afternoon as Box 8 sent over a lot of food for me and my friends, I realised how creative our cloud kitchens are getting. These were just the chicken dishes, a whole range of flavours in brilliant packing. I am relieved at the same time that packaging is good enough for me to order the food at work place and still not be uncomfortable.
But the best part of this lunch was the simple fusion of flavorful dishes we had. Starting with the simple Chicken Kathi roll to the saucy chicken submarine. Light and tasteful lemonade to accompany the same.
There was a very refreshing chicken salad for lunch, with lots of fresh veggies and seasoned grilled chicken. A dip with it would have added a whole other dimension to it.
I particularly loved the chicken biryani. The quality and quantity of chicken was absolutely amazing. Served with raita this is one delicious meal for one normal appetite.
However, for people who have a bigger appetite and want roti for lunch, Chicken overloaded meal is most suited. There is just a lot of chicken also, a very wholesome meal in variety and taste content. There is a vegetarian curry, a chicken curry, some salad, chicken sheekh for the appetiser, fried rice, parathas and very soft gulab jamun for dessert. You also have just some Mughlai chicken curry with parathas, if a meal seems like too much work. Choco lava cake was average.
Over all, good tasting food, good delivery experience, and good packaging.
